Condolences

Condolence From: Lois Whitman
Condolence: I just found this obituary of Mary and was so saddened to think she was gone. I worked with Mary at the Egleston branch of the BPL when she was still a Library Assistant and finishng her BA. We worked for the Branch Librarian, Nura Globus, a very tough Depression - era librarian and Mary kept all of us sane and laughing. She took my new husband and I under her wing and had us over for dinner often and encouraged me to get my MLS which I did. She also introduced me to many wonderful books and her gourmet cooking was fabulous! We will miss her terribly.

Condolence From: Raymond Trevino
Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Mary's passing. She was my direct supervisor at BU for several years and during that time we had so many funny times and shared laughs. Many of my favorite memories were of her at her home in Andover making a fire, fixing a tall drink of Cutty Sark and Soda and telling her amazing stories. She was a great lady and a kind friend and the world is better for her sharing her light with us.

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of Mary's passing. I only knew her briefly, but she made a strong impression on me. Always so upbeat with a ready smile and a joke, even in difficult times. I will remember her strong spirit, wit, intelligence, and determination. I am thinking of her today and send her family my deepest condolences.
