Obituary for Charles E Sprague

Charles E  Sprague
Charles E. “Chuck” Sprague, 75, died October 10, 2017 in Vassalboro while biking with a friend. He was
born December 15, 1941 in Boston, MA. to Charles and Fozena Dunton Sprague. Chuck worked as a
safety manager for Hodgdon Yachts in East Boothbay, as a metalware manager for CM Almy in Pittsfield,
and for Sherman Lumber Company in Sherman.

Chuck loved being active outside, especially biking. He completed the Trek Across Maine for the last
twenty-six years. He also enjoyed moose hunting, gardening, and kayaking. He enjoyed spending time
with his family, especially with grandchildren and having coffee with friends. He was always helping
neighbors, friends and family.

Chuck was a member of the Sherman Mills Masonic Lodge #165, and a member of the Anah Temple.
Chuck was proud of all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He supported all of their
hopes and dreams. He would travel to any length to support all of their sporting and life events.

He was predeceased by his parents, and his first wife, Carol Sprague.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita “Teta” Sprague of Augusta and Boothbay Harbor

Wendy and Clyde Brooks and their children, Jason and Alicen
Donna and Paul Hawkins and their children, Caleb and Andria
Caleb’s daughters Cadence and Skylynn (expected in November)
Andria and Aaron Engroff and their son, Brody
Julie Sprague and her daughter Madelyn
Stepsons, Greg Stevens and his wife Lisa
Todd Stevens and his wife Jane
Brother, Ed Sprague and his wife Ellen

A service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held 2 p.m. October 21st at Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset
Road, Boothbay. Rev. Bill Meyer will officiate.
