Condolence: On the first anniversary of George's passing, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope that the memories of the past give you encouragement for the future as you walk each day with your loved one in your heart. It is our privilege and honor to serve your family.
Condolence: My deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time. I hope the words at Rev.21:4 bring you comfort. It says: "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Condolence: George Whitten's love of life was an inspiration to my family.
As a 5 year old, so many of my friends called him Uncle that I came to think he must be mine as well.
My earliest memory is of George organizing the Point to rescue boats torn loose in the hurricane of 1954. I believe the wonderful Surf Rider was among them.
My Mother greatly enjoyed her visits with George and he always remembered her birthday with a home baked angel food cake.
Truly a kind a gentle man. Our thought are with the entire family. Mark and Jacque Hazelton
Condolence: I will always remember George as larger than life. I will forever be grateful to him for the smiles and conversations in the JPVIS Community House or on Whitten's field. May George's memory be a blessing to his family, to our JPVIS community and dto all who knew him.
