Edgar J. Krebs, 88, passed away November 19th at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. He was born January 18, 1926 in Germany to Karl and Emma Krebs. He grew up in Germany and obtained a pastry chef education. He was an undefeated lightweight boxer. He was honored in Manhattan by his German Boxing Club for his impressive undefeated career 20 years ago.
He emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1952. He began work as a pastry chef in local bakeries and then worked for T.W.A. Airlines for over 30 years as a chef. He enjoyed baking and he loved to make wedding cakes, Christmas cakes, cookies and pastries. He loved living in Boothbay enjoying the outdoors, and the Ocean. He also enjoyed driving and visiting new places. He was predeceased by his sister, Rita Bihler. He loved living in Boothbay and will be missed by all those who knew him and who he came to love.
