Obituary for Dorothy M. Doucette

Dorothy M.  Doucette
Dorothy M. Doucette passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday April 6th, 2015. Dorothy was born on September 8th, 1922 in Medford Massachusetts to Stanley and Dorothy (Spencer) Bailey. She attended local schools and went on to graduate from the Massachusetts School of Art with a Bachelor’s degree in Art.
After graduating, Dorothy owned her own antique shop for several years before marrying Mr. Hartford Doucette. Together they had one son David. Dorothy then went on to work with her father in sales and in running the family store. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed gardening, knitting and sewing.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Hartford in 2001 and her son David in the 1980’s
She is survived by her sisters: Grace Tellefsen of Southport and Barbara Glines of Salem, NH.
Five nieces, five nephews, several cousins and friends.
A reception will be held in Dorothy’s honor at St Andrew’s Village on Friday April 17th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. A family graveside service will be held on Saturday April 25th, 2015 at Rural Cemetery in Walpole, Massachusetts.
