Robert Karl Krebs passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016. He was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany on October 20th, 1947 to parents Edgar Krebs and Anna Lippert Krebs. Robert attended local schools, went on to earn his Masters Degree and then embarked on a career at the Smithtown School District on Long Island, New York teaching German for over 20 years.

Some of Robert’s favorite pastimes were gardening, baking pastries and spending quality time with his family. Robert was associated with the German Honor Society during his teaching career and he was proud of that relationship.

Robert was predeceased by his father Edgar Krebs in 2014. Left to cherish Robert’s memories are his mother Anna Krebs and sister Jane Krebs of Boothbay, Maine along with his brother Dieter Krebs of Wappingers Falls, New York.

The family has requested that donations in Robert’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240.

Per Robert's wishes services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
